Attorneys of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger to Speak at DePuy Hip Implant Litigation Conference
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 5, 2010 — Walkup Law Firm partners Matthew D. Davis and Michael A. Kelly have been invited to serve as faculty members at a national conference of attorneys handling cases related to the Johnson & Johnson DePuy hip implant recall.
Although the company did not recall the defective DePuy ASR hip implants until August of this year, product liability attorneys at the Walkup Law Firm have been handling lawsuits stemming from these defective hip implants for more than a year. Mr. Davis and Mr. Kelly head the Walkup Law Firm team of product liability attorneys who are handling these claims.
At the conference, Mr. Davis and Mr. Kelly will address proposed trial strategies for attorneys who will be trying these cases against Johnson & Johnson. The elite faculty selected for the conference features personal injury lawyers from Texas, New York, North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and Pennsylvania.
Topics on the day long program include an analysis of developments related to the DePuy ASR recall, Johnson & Johnson’s marketing strategies, bio-mechanical explanations for the extremely high rate of failure for these hip implants, complications and problems with revisions strategies, as well as DePuy’s response and strategy in defending the claims.
For more than 50 years, the personal injury lawyers of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger have provided skilled legal representation for those who have suffered serious injuries as the result of the negligence and wrongdoing of others. Currently, the firm is in discussion with patient-plaintiffs across the country, having already been retained by injured DePuy hip implant victims in California, Nevada, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and ten other states across the country.
