Super Lawyers Names Walkup Partners to the Top 100 Attorneys in Northern California Rankings

Four partners at the San Francisco law firm Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger were recently named among the top attorneys in Northern California by Super Lawyers Magazine.

The nationally recognized attorney rating service named Walkup Melodia partners Richard Schoenberger, Paul Melodia and Michael Kelly as among the top 100 attorneys in Northern California for the ninth consecutive year. Michael Kelly was also selected as one of the Top 10 Northern California Super Lawyers, the fifth time he has achieved this distinction.

Walkup partner Doris Cheng was named as one of the top 50 women Super Lawyers in Northern California for 2012. This is the second time Cheng has made this list and her third year as a Super Lawyer.

Super Lawyers is a leading attorney rating service recognizing those who have attained a high degree of professional achievement and peer recognition. Selections are made through a rigorous multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of attorneys, an independent research evaluation of candidates and practice area-specific peer reviews. Fewer than 5 percent of California lawyers are designated as Super Lawyers.

The recent Super Lawyer rankings are among many honors and awards earned by the attorneys at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger. The attorneys at Walkup frequently appear on attorney ranking lists by U.S. News & World Report, the Best Lawyers in America, the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and other national publications.

Since the firm’s establishment in 1959, the lawyers at Walkup Melodia have successfully litigated some of the most complex personal injury cases in the country. Walkup attorneys continue to secure record-breaking jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of their clients and are often appointed to lead complex multidistrict litigation against major corporations.
