Walkup Melodia Kelly and Schoenberger lawyers and staff are actively involved in the greater Bay Area community. Walkup attorneys take their responsibilities in the community seriously. They donate time, effort and financial support to worthy legal and non-legal non-profit activities.
Walkup lawyers support the San Francisco Food Bank, Friends of the Children, the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Volunteer Legal Services Program, the San Francisco Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and the San Francisco and Sonoma County Legal Aid Societies. They work to make San Francisco greener and safer through their support of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. They work with community youth programs including Little league, sit on the Board of CYO athletics, serve as Big Brothers and volunteer as youth mentors.
In the legal community, our lawyers serve as volunteer settlement conference panelists, pro tem judges and teach other lawyers both at home and abroad to improve the quality of justice for all people. Our partners have taught personal injury trial techniques to lawyers who represent victims of medical malpractice in California, New York, New Mexico, Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, Florida, Georgia and Washington state. Our lawyers also serve as associate faculty and adjunct faculty at prestigious law schools including the University of California’s Hastings College and Boalt Hall campuses, the University of San Francisco Kendrick Hall School of Law and the Emory University School of Law.
We work hard to make the legal system accessible and fair for all people regardless of political affiliation, income, gender, race or socio-economic standing.
