San Francisco attorney Doris Cheng of the law firm Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger has been selected as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Ms. Cheng has received numerous awards and recognition for her exceptional legal work, including ranking as one of the top Minority 40 under 40 by the National Law Journal and as one of the top 50 female lawyers in Northern California.
Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America is highly selective and by invitation only. The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society consisting of less than one-half of 1 percent of American lawyers. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the 21st century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership. The number of fellowships has been kept at an exclusive limit by design, allowing qualifications, diversity and inclusion to align effectively, with recognition of excellence in litigation across all segments of the bar. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism and ethical standards among its fellows.
In addition to the LCA, Ms. Cheng is involved in many local bar associations and community organizations. She is also passionate about training the next generation of exceptional litigators and is a frequent guest lecturer and adjunct professor.
