The Walkup Law Firm wrapped up its Summer 2022 Associate Program this week after welcoming five interns into our 8-week internship. Our student associates had the opportunity to gather hands-on experience in civil litigation while working alongside some of the nation’s top personal injury lawyers. This year’s troop of summer associates included Daniel Cassee, Ian Head, and Corey Jollie, who attend UC Hastings College of Law, Kaylen Anderson of Santa Clara University School of Law, and Wesley Dunkirk of UC Berkeley School of Law.
“This program confirmed for me that I want to be a trial lawyer,” said Daniel Cassee. “It’s rare that you can get so many fascinating and accomplished trial attorneys in one place. Just to be in the room with them at every step of the process is invaluable.”
The Walkup Summer Associate Program provides exposure to trials, mediations, depositions, team meetings, and participation in the firm’s annual Brief Writing Contest. All participants received training in technical, writing, advocacy, and research skills while being exposed to medical negligence, general negligence, product liability, and government liability cases.
