Recall of Exactech Knee and Ankle Replacement Implants
In its recall letters Exactech® had admitted that the recalled knee implants were packaged in “out-of-specification” vacuum bags. The result was excessive oxidation of the plastic inserts that are key components of the device. Excessive oxidation can cause structural failure.
