Walkup, Melodia Kelly & Schoenberger Hosts Second Annual Turkey Giveaway to Spread Thanksgiving Cheer

Saturday, Nov. 23 | 9:00 AM | Lowell High School

SAN FRANCISCO (October 31, 2024) – This Thanksgiving season, Walkup, Melodia Kelly & Schoenberger will conduct our Second Annual Turkey Giveaway to help make the holiday a little more special for local families. We’re thrilled to partner with eight area schools, distributing over 500 turkeys with accompanying gift certificates so families can enjoy a warm Thanksgiving feast together. In the upcoming weeks, coupons will be distributed to the schools and are required to redeem a turkey.

It’s all happening at Lowell High School on Saturday, November 23, at 9:00 AM, with our team, the Lowell Alumni Association, and incredible community volunteers working side by side to spread the holiday joy. This giveaway is a true celebration of community and giving back, reflecting our firm’s deep commitment to supporting neighbors and friends in need.

Walkup Shareholder and proud Lowell alumna Doris Cheng is one of the event organizers. “As a Lowell graduate, this event holds special meaning for me,” Cheng shared. “Caring for our community is a responsibility our firm takes very seriously and with this giveaway, we’re reminded that giving back is truly what makes us thankful.”

Walkup’s team has a proud history of philanthropy and volunteerism, with support for nonprofits, social events, schools, hospitals, and more. We’re also thrilled to make a special donation to Lowell High School in recognition of their efforts and commitment.

“Giving back is part of who we are. We have a long tradition of supporting our community, and events like this turkey giveaway are a way for us to show up and make a real difference. We’re proud to support families during the holidays and beyond,” added Walkup Shareholder Douglas Saeltzer.
