Jeffrey obtained his undergraduate degree with a major in History from the University of California, Davis in 2010. He received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2014, where he competed in and directed Honors Moot Court Competitions. Following law school and passing the California bar exam, Jeff initially practiced with a multispecialty firm in Sacramento, California, where his work focused on the defense of public entities, including the representation of police officers in civil rights litigation, and injury claims where there were alleged dangerous conditions of public property.
His experience in defending public entities is often put to use on behalf of Walkup clients who have brought affirmative claims for injuries caused by the negligence or wrongful conduct of cities, counties and the State. Also while practicing in Sacramento, Jeff worked in litigation involving both private and commercial vehicle accidents.
